You definitely won’t go hungry on a Carnival cruise. In fact, one of the hardest parts of the trip might be deciding what to eat next.
From burgers by the pool and late-night pizza to elegant three-course dinners and surprisingly good international dishes, Carnival packs a huge amount of food into its ships. And while some restaurants cost extra, there’s far more included in your cruise fare than many first-time cruisers realise.
Some menu items have become almost legendary among Carnival fans. Others are hidden gems that many people walk straight past without ever trying.
So what can you actually eat on a Carnival cruise… and which venues are really worth your time?

If you’re also curious about the drinks, don’t miss my guide to the Carnival drinks menus here too.
Note: Menus can vary slightly by ship and sailing, and some items or prices may change over time.

Final Word
One thing’s for sure: you’ll never struggle to find something good to eat on a Carnival cruise.
Whether you stick to the included venues or treat yourself to a few speciality restaurants, there’s a huge amount of choice across the fleet. From burgers and tacos by the pool to elegant steakhouse dinners and late-night pizza, Carnival really leans into the fun side of cruise dining.
And because so much food is already included in your cruise fare, it’s surprisingly easy to eat very well without spending much extra at all.
Just don’t be surprised if you come home already craving your favourite dishes again.

Have a friend we have cruied with several times but will no longer go. He thinks the Carnival menus are just plain lousy. And for that reason he will not cruise until menus improve
Thanks for the info. Looks like my first cruise is going to be a dining disappointment. My friends have coaxed me to finally go and am going in January. Looks like the complimentary food selections are pretty much driving down a strip of fast food places. Everything is about the upsell I can see.
