Virgin Voyages has announced an exciting new selection of Eclipse Voyages for 2026, perfect for any guests who want to experience a total solar eclipse.
These cruises, designed to take advantage of the growing interest in ‘astrotourism’, will follow the path of totality for the 2026 solar eclipse due on 12th August.
The eclipse is due to appear across the Arctic Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean along with Greenaldn, Iceland, Portugal and northern Spain. Virgin Voyages has announced two cruises for these destinations.
Valiant Lady will sail on a UK, Ireland and Iceland cruise with ports of call in Dublin, Greenock (Glasgow), and Reykjavik. During her visit to Iceland, guests will enjoy 98% totality.
Scarlet Lady will focus on the European ports, including a visit to Ibiza on 12th August which is on the path for 100% totality.
“Our Marvelous Voyages, paired with Brilliant Lady’s epic itineraries across all four corners of the U.S., just shows the growth and strength of this monumental brand and the choice we are committed to offering.”
Michelle Bentubo, chief operating officer at Virgin Voyages
The new cruises will be available to book from 21st August 2024.
