Disney Magic has just finished a three-week dry dock refurbishment in Freeport, The Bahamas, during which new experiences related to the movies Encanto and Soul were added to the ship.

Guests of the Disney Magic can now enjoy a new immersive experience called “An Encanto Celebration”. This interactive event will let guests feel like they are part of the vibrant Encanto world, meeting characters such as Mirabel and Bruno (don’t talk about him…).

The show includes singalongs of popular songs, craft activities, and the chance to try various drinks inspired by the movies, including Colombian beers and cocktails for the adults in the party.

For Soul, a new bar has debuted on the ship. Named the Soul Cat Lounge, it is based on the Half Note Lounge from the movie – the jazz club that Joe Gardner loved.

The bar is decorated to look like a classic New York jazz club, with artwork created by Pixar on the walls. Guests can enjoy live music along with Manhattans served tableside, as well as other fun mocktails, cocktails, and snacks.

The dry dock also revamped the concierge lounge on the ship to add a new theme, with colours inspired by the movie Moana. Concierge Suites and Signature Royal Suites have been completely refurbished as well with brand new fixtures and furniture.

The ship is now also able to draw shore power thanks to new tech, which will help her to be more environmentally friendly. And as part of the dry dock, general refurbishments were carried out to some other public areas, including repairs and paint work updates.

Disney Magic first launched in 1997 and has been periodically updated with dry dock refurbishments since.
