A 21-year-old cruise passenger onboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas was arrested last week after trying to initiate oral sex with a 14-year-old boy.

According to local reports, Anish Shan was detained once the ship concluded a 5-night cruise on 8th March in Miami. He has been charge with two felonies – less and lascivious behaviour, and lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16.
The reports state that the incident occurred in the ship’s sauna at around 7pm during one night of the cruise.
Shan approached the teenager and asked how old he was. Upon learning the boy was 14, Shan began to masturbate while making eye contact with the boy, and then attempted to solicit oral sex from him.
It’s unclear whether Shan was arrested on the ship by the crew, and detained in his stateroom, but the Miami-Dade police arrested him immediately upon the ship’s arrival back to Port Miami.
The news comes just a short while after a crew member was arrested on Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas for hiding spy cameras in guests’ rooms, along with hiding himself under the beds while guests showered.
That crew member has now been charged with multiple crimes, including child pornography, after footage of children as young as five was found on his cameras.
