The Cruise Director schedule for Carnival Breeze had, up until recently, been set through to September 2025. But it looks like things have changed.
From November to January, Lia Stivers will be onboard to ensure all guests have an amazing time. After that, the very popular Louie Clare was set to join the ship in January for a lengthy stint – with a break scheduled for mid-March to mid-June. But that’s since been removed from the schedule. Keep an eye here and we’ll let you know once it’s updated again.

Marty Pitts is your current cruise director – and he’ll be onboard all the way through until the middle of May 2025! He’ll be back from July to November as well – Joseph Boyd giving him the two month break in summer.

Joseph Boyes was the initial cruise director for Carnival’s new ship, Carnival Firenze. It’s no surprise that a new ship was given to such an experienced hand – and Joseph did a great job welcoming guests to the newly refurbished ship for heaps of fun!

The newest Excel-class ship sailing for Carnival has three big hitters as her cruise directors. Kyndall Fire led the way since the ship debuted, and she’s back onboard once again now.
Louie Clare did oversee things recently and he was set to be back from March to May, so that Kyndall could have another break. But for now, he’s been taken off the schedule, so we’ll see who covers those months soon. After that run ends, Kyndall will be back once more for the May 2025 to August 2025 season.

The excellent Zackary Paiement-Dockrill joined the ship in October for a three-month stint that will no doubt be packed with fun.
Once he’s completed this run, Savannah Mitchell will be on the ship through the festive season, leaving in January. We don’t yet know who’s taking over, but Franco Spies will join the ship later in 2025, from early March.

The Mardi Gras has an exciting lineup of cruise directors set to take the stage.
TJ Pardita and Jacky Tang have been bouncing the role back and forth between them throughout 2024. However TJ is now done, with Jacky rejoining the ship once more in October for a longer run that will last all the way through to March.
Leon Smith will then board the ship to take charge as cruise director – he’s scheduled to be on the ship until May. Jacky will then be back again for a few months, joining until September 2025.
Rainier Scholtz has been added to the schedule, overlapping some of these dates – I’ll let you know if that’s right or if dates change ASAP.

The pair will swap the role back and forth a little. Mercer will be onboard from August to January, and then Scholtz will take charge until March. It’s then back to Mercer until July, and then Scholtz once again until September 2025.

Gabriel Coppolla is the main cruise director for now, and he’ll be on the ship all the way through until January 2025.

One of Carnival’s newest ships, Carnival Venezia made her debut on June 15th, 2023. This ship joined the fleet after a refurbishment following her time spent sailing for Costa Cruises as Costa Venezia.
There are some fantastic cruise directors that guests can look forward to on this ship, all with plenty of experience.
Georgia Craig has now been confirmed as the cruise director taking over until the end of the year, before Lee Mason steps in to cover for a couple of weeks. TJ Pardita then joins the ship until February. Then, Georgia will be back through the spring months.
George Cross will then pick things up before Georgia returns again in September, right through until January 2026.
Carnival Venezia is a Venice-class ship with a gross tonnage of 135,225 and a maximum passenger capacity of 4,208.

The role of the Cruise Director
On a Carnival cruise, the cruise director is responsible for overseeing all of the entertainment team. They work closely with the hotel director and entertainers to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience on board.
Carnival cruise directors are also responsible for hosting events like trivia contests, gameshows, and deck parties. They keep guests informed about what’s happening on the ship.
The cruise line employs a large number of cruise directors – around 40 or so – because they need to rotate between the different cruise ships (and have some time off too).
Contracts can vary though – someone might be on a ship for just a couple of weeks, to fill a gap in a schedule, or they might be onboard for months at a time.
Dates for these contracts can overlap too – that’s when a new cruise director will join a ship while the old one is still working, so that there’s time for the new arrival to get up to speed and meet the team.
Cruise Director schedule changes
The cruise director schedules can change at short notice. Often there are changes to plans which can mean a lot of work for the cruise line to move people around and make sure each ship has the experienced team onboard to give guests the best experience.
This schedule is updated each week, so you can always stay on top of the latest developments as new contracts are announced and older ones are reshuffled.

Something is wrong with your info. Joseph Boyes is listed on Horizon 11/5/23 to 2/3/24 and also on Vista 11/4/23 to 1/8/24. I know Carnival is short staffed, but don’t think they are flying CD’s from ship to ship 🙂
