Princess Cruises has unveiled some exciting details about the dining venues that guests will be able to enjoy onboard the brand-new Sun Princess when she launches in 2024.

Sun Princess The Promenade

In total, there will be 29 dining venues and lounges, including a mix of returning Princess Cruises favourites and some brand-new venues, with some exciting concepts.

Many of those new concepts are being worked on by world-renowned chef Rudi Sodamin (including the seafood venue The Catch by Rudi), while another yet-to-be-revealed celebrity chef is also partnering with the cruise line for this new ship.

One of the highlights is the Horizon – the main restaurant on Sun Princess. However, Horizon takes the existing idea of a main dining room, and switches it up by giving each of the three floors its own unique feel and personality.

If you want a more casual meal, then head to the Deck 8 level of the restaurant, the Horizon’s Diner, offering a selection of favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you want a more formal experience, choose to dine on Deck 7 or Deck 6.

New dining venues include Umai Teppanyaki, where guests can enjoy the theatrical and captivating cooking of talented chefs, along with O’Malley’s Irish Pub, which takes the classic pub concept and introduces some new twists.

There’s also The Promenade, a relaxed outdoor area serving pizza, gourmet burgers, hot dogs, bagels and a selection of ice creams.

Returning favourites include Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Alfredo’s Pizzerira, Crooners, and Kai Sushi, among others.

Guests staying in the new Signature Collection accommodations can also enjoy the Signature Restaurant and Signature Lounge, while those staying in the Reserve Collection mini suites and cabana cabins have their own Reserve Collection Restaurant to enjoy. Both venues have exclusive menu options, including a prime rib carving trolley.

There are two yet-to-be-revealed dining venues too – a high-end speciality restaurant on Deck 17, and a teased ‘mysterious, extraordinary experience’ on Deck 8.
