MSC Cruises’ ship the MSC Virtuosa will serve as the setting for a new Channel 5 drama series called “The Good Ship Murder”.

The show premieres on Friday 13th October 2023 at 9 pm and will run for a number of weeks.
Each episode is set in a new destination as the ship cruises from Southampton to the Mediterranean, with some of the confirmed episodes being Lisbon, Valencia, Barcelona, Le Havre and Valletta.
The drama series will see Shayne Ward play a former detective turned cruise ship singer named Jack Grayling, while Catherine Tyldesley will play First Officer Kate Woods. Claire Sweeney will play the role of Entertainment Manager Beverley Carnell.
The series will see Grayling and Woods solve a number of murders that take place in different parts of the MSC Virtuosa, including the Carousel Lounge and the MSC Yacht Club.
This new series with Channel 5 will bring the magnificence of MSC Virtuosa into living rooms across the country, giving viewers an inside look into life onboard one of our world-class ships. The audience will not only be captivated by the thrilling storyline of The Good Ship Murder but the impressive and innovative array of features guests of all ages enjoy.
Antonio Paradiso, MSC Cruises’ UK & Ireland Managing Director
For any guests who wish to experience the ship for themselves after watching the drama (without the murders!), MSC Virtuosa is sailing from Southampton for the rest of October 2023, and will return again in Spring 2024 with bookings now open.
The ship launched in November 2019 and can accommodate over 6,000 guests. She has 10 dining venues, 21 different bars for guests to enjoy, five swimming pools and a host of world-class entertainment, along with Rob, the first-ever humanoid robotic bartender at sea.
