The sea is about to get a whole lot more stylish, luxurious, and thrilling! This week, Celebrity Cruises released new details about its latest nautical wonder, the Celebrity Ascent.
She’s the fourth addition to Celebrity Cruise’s acclaimed Edge Series and if you like sipping martinis under the stars, savouring world-class cuisine, and soaking in infinity pools, this is the ship to board.
Style and opulence at sea
Her maiden voyage is set to be a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in December 2023. And, she’s already received high praise with a standing ovation from the Forbes Travel Guide Star Rating.
The ship’s itineraries include dreamy destinations like the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Grand Cayman during winter, followed by a European extravaganza in the summer.
Celebrity Cruises’s President, Laura Hodges Bethge is looking forward to continuing the legacy of Celebrity’s Edge Series, “First launched in 2018, the Edge Series transformed what cruising could be and its ships like Edge, Apex and Beyond quickly became consumer favourites.”
She goes on to say, “Continuously striving to offer travellers a better way to enjoy travel and reach the world around them, we are so proud of what we have built and look forward to welcoming both seasoned and new cruisers alike.”
High rollers on the high seas
For the first time in Celebrity Cruises history, there’s an all-new casino gaming floor, decked out in opulent reds and golds. The slot machines boast the latest tech – so if you’re feeling lucky, this is the place to be.

The brand-new Celebrity Ascent is a paradise for food lovers. The piece de resistance is undoubtedly Le Voyage by renowned chef Daniel Boulud, offering an intimate fine-dining odyssey inspired by the chef’s global travels.
The Cosmopolitan restaurant has also undergone a dazzling transformation, taking inspiration from the glamour and culture of Champagne.
Art aficionados, brace yourselves. The Ascent’s art gallery has been reborn, showcasing breathtaking masterpieces, with exclusive auctions and art events to make the experience even more enriching.
A magical experience
We can’t talk about the Ascent without mentioning the awe-inspiring Edge Series signature experiences making a comeback. The Magic Carpet, the world’s first cantilevered lounge at sea, offers staggering panoramic views.
The Rooftop Garden is an oasis in the middle of the ocean, perfect for live music, movies, and al fresco dining. And, not forgetting the spa, which offers 120 unique, destination-inspired treatments.
