If you’re looking for a luxury cruise, chances are Oceania Cruises is already on your radar – and with good reason. Known for its elegant ships, incredible dining, and laid-back luxury, Oceania is often described as the perfect balance between premium and ultra-luxury cruising.

But what exactly do you get for the price? From gourmet dining to flights and fine wines, Oceania includes a lot more than most people expect.

Here’s what’s really included in your Oceania Cruises fare – and why it might offer more value than you think.

Note: Each cruise will differ, and we’d encourage you to check the specifics of any cruise you’re currently considering. A good travel agent, such as Panache Cruises, will be able to help with that.

What’s Included at a Glance

Oceania Cruises fares include far more than most luxury lines, with plenty of thoughtful touches that make every voyage feel indulgent.

Here’s what you can expect to be included in your Oceania Cruises price:

  • Gourmet dining at all onboard restaurants (no surcharges for speciality venues)
  • Soft drinks, bottled water, speciality coffees, teas, and juices
  • Free fitness classes and full access to the fitness centre
  • 24-hour room service
  • In-room minibar with soft drinks, replenished daily
  • Complimentary shuttle service to many city centres
  • Enrichment programmes such as lectures, classes, and workshops
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi
  • Pre-paid gratuities included as standard (new for 2025)

Oceania’s new Your World Included™ package replaced the previous simplyMORE™ offer at the end of 2024. The change means gratuities are now included for everyone, while airfare, drinks, and shore-excursion credits are available only as optional add-ons or limited-time promotions.

If you booked your cruise before 1 October 2024, your fare may still include the older simplyMORE perks – such as airfare, a shore-excursion credit of up to $1,600 per stateroom, and complimentary Champagnes, wines, and beers with lunch and dinner.

Now, let’s take a closer look at exactly what you get for your money – and how Oceania’s inclusions compare to other luxury cruise lines.

1. Food

Oceania Cruises includes a variety of gourmet dining options in its onboard restaurants as standard, so whichever cruise you’re on, you’ll have a great choice of where to eat, and the cuisine that suits you.

One of the hallmarks of Oceania Cruises is its exceptional culinary offerings, curated by renowned chefs.

Guests can dine at multiple onboard restaurants without any additional charge, enjoying a diverse array of international cuisines, from Italian delicacies at Toscana to French-inspired dishes at Jacques. The Grand Dining Room also offers exquisite meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oceania Cruises prides itself on offering an unparalleled dining experience that rivals the finest restaurants on land.

The emphasis is on freshness and quality, with menus designed by acclaimed chefs like Jacques Pépin. Each dish is carefully crafted to provide an unforgettable dining experience, making every meal a highlight of the cruise.

There’s one exception: La Réserve by Wine Spectator, a private dining experience for groups of up to 10 guests. This incurs an additional charge which varies by sailing, so check your booking – menu surcharges and wine-pairing options can run from upwards $250 per person, with some premium themes far exceeding that.

La Reserve

Yes – All Speciality Restaurants Are Included!

One of the things that makes Oceania Cruises stand out is that their speciality restaurants are included, so you don’t need to worry about being charged an additional fee to eat at speciality restaurants on board.

Reservations may be required, especially for popular venues, but the meals themselves are part of the cruise package.

The inclusion of speciality restaurants in the cruise fare means you’re able to enjoy diverse culinary delights, from Asian fusion at Red Ginger to the classic American steakhouse experience at Polo Grill. This inclusive approach ensures that dining remains a central, worry-free pleasure of your experience.

2. Drinks

Oceania Cruises includes a generous range of non-alcoholic drinks in your fare – such as soft drinks, bottled water, speciality coffees, teas, and juices – all available throughout the ship.

Under the new Your World Included™ programme, you can also choose one extra inclusion:

  • Wine & Beer by the Glass with lunch and dinner, or
  • A Shore Excursion Credit (amount varies by cruise length).

If you’d prefer something more comprehensive, you can still purchase a drinks package. The House Select package covers beers, wines, and Champagnes with lunch and dinner, while the Prestige Select package adds cocktails, premium wines, and spirits available anytime. Both can be booked before your cruise or once onboard.

3. Tips / Gratuities

You won’t need to worry about paying daily gratuities on your Oceania cruise anymore; they’re now included for all guests under the Your World Included™ programme.

Previously, gratuities ranged from around $18 to $23 per person, per day, depending on your accommodation, but these are now built into your fare.

A 20% service charge is still added to any onboard purchases such as drinks, spa treatments, or La Réserve dining experiences. This fee only applies to items you pay for separately.

If you purchase a beverage package, the gratuities for drinks covered under that package are already included, so you won’t be charged extra each time you order. However, any drinks or services bought outside your package will still have the standard 20% service charge added to the listed price.

4. WiFi

Oceania Cruises includes complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi for all guests as part of its Your World Included™ programme. Whether you want to check in with family, share photos, or stay on top of work, you can stay connected throughout your voyage.

Wi-Fi access is available in all staterooms and public areas, and each guest can connect one device at a time. Additional devices or higher-speed packages can be purchased if you need faster connections for streaming or multiple users.

5. Airfare

Oceania Cruises no longer automatically includes airfare in its standard fares under the Your World Included™ programme. However, the cruise line regularly offers airfare-inclusive promotions that provide round-trip flights from select gateway cities, making it easy to plan your entire journey through one booking.

If you prefer to arrange your own flights, Oceania’s flexible air credit offers make it simple to remove the airfare component and tailor your trip your way.

6. Transfers

transfer to the ship

Many cruise lines charge extra for airport transfers, and under Oceania’s previous simplyMORE™ package, these were included at no additional cost.

With the new Your World Included™ programme, transfers are no longer automatically included in every fare. However, they may still be offered as part of limited-time promotions or airfare-inclusive packages.

Booking transfers directly through Oceania remains a convenient option, helping ensure a smooth, stress-free journey between the airport and your ship – especially if you’re flying in on the cruise line’s recommended schedule.

7. Shore Excursions

Under Oceania Cruises’ new Your World Included™ programme, guests can choose between a Shore Excursion Credit or a Wine & Beer by the Glass option with lunch and dinner.

If you choose the Shore Excursion Credit, the amount you receive depends on the length of your cruise:

  • Up to 9 days = $200 per stateroom
  • 10–13 days = $300 per stateroom
  • 14–19 days = $400 per stateroom
  • 20–25 days = $500 per stateroom
  • 26+ days = $600 per stateroom

This credit can be used toward any of Oceania’s shore excursions, allowing guests to choose the tours and experiences that interest them most – whether that’s exploring local culture, sampling regional cuisine, or heading out on an adventure.

Whichever inclusion you select, Oceania ensures every itinerary is rich in destination experiences and tailored for curious travellers.

Not Everything Is Included Though…

While Oceania Cruises includes a lot in the fare, there are still a few extras you might want to budget for. Spa treatments, wellness services, certain shore excursions, travel insurance, and optional classes or workshops all come at an additional cost.

You’ll also find premium options available for guests who want something a little more special – like rare wines, top-shelf spirits, or exclusive private excursions.

By keeping these extras optional, Oceania gives you complete flexibility to tailor your cruise exactly how you like it – paying only for the upgrades and experiences that matter most to you.
