Disney Cruise Line has unveiled Disney Believe as the name of its next newbuild, confirming the vessel will become the fourth ship in the line’s Wish class when it enters service in late 2027.
The new ship will continue Disney’s strategy of building large-scale family cruise ships centred on storytelling from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

According to Disney, the ship will carry a design theme built around promise and possibilities, giving it a distinct identity within the Wish class.
That continues the approach already used across its sister ships, with each vessel in the class given its own creative motif that influences onboard spaces, entertainment and décor. The Disney Wish is built around enchantment, Disney Treasure around adventure, and Disney Destiny around heroes and villains.
Disney said the new ship will bring stories about characters who believe in themselves and their dreams to life at sea, drawing inspiration from films including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid.
While Disney has yet to reveal the full line-up of restaurants, entertainment and other onboard venues, the first details show Disney Believe continuing the Wish class approach of giving each ship its own collection of story-driven spaces and experiences.
What Disney Has Revealed So Far
Disney Believe is expected to debut in late 2027, although the company has not yet confirmed its homeport, maiden season or booking timeline.
Disney has, however, revealed some of the first major design details for the ship.
The Grand Hall will be inspired by Moana and designed around themes of exploration and connection with nature. At its centre will be a bronze statue depicting Moana alongside Pua and Heihei.
The ship’s exterior will also feature several familiar Disney and Pixar characters. Woody and Buzz Lightyear will appear on the stern, while Tinker Bell will feature on the bow alongside silhouettes of characters from Peter Pan.
Disney has also confirmed that new venues and entertainment will draw inspiration from Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid, although further details about those experiences have yet to be announced.
Disney Believe will join Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny as the fourth vessel in the Wish class, and will be one of several new ships joining Disney Cruise Line as the company expands its global fleet.
Part Of Disney’s Wider Cruise Expansion
Disney Cruise Line is in the middle of one of the biggest fleet expansion programmes in its history, with the fleet set to grow to 13 ships.
Alongside Disney Believe and the Wish-class ship being developed for Japan, Disney has now revealed more about an entirely new class of three vessels due to begin arriving in 2029.
Rather than continuing the trend towards ever-larger ships, the new vessels will sit between Disney’s classic and newer ships in size. Disney says they will be larger than Disney Wonder but smaller than Disney Wish, giving the cruise line greater flexibility to reach new destinations and markets around the world.
By the time Disney Believe debuts, it is expected to be part of a fleet serving a broader range of international markets than ever before, as the cruise line looks beyond its traditional North American base and adds new capacity across several regions.
