After a much-hyped countdown on the Royal Caribbean website, we now have new exciting details about Utopia of the Seas – the next Oasis-class ship for the cruise line.
The biggest announcement was in the itineraries – the ship will offer short cruising breaks when she first starts sailing from Port Canaveral in summer 2024, unlike previous ships, which have always at least begun with week-long cruising.
Indeed the whole theming of Utopia of the Seas is around the best weekend ever, despite the fact that the ship is so impressive that you’ll need way more than a single weekend cruise to experience it all!
New Bar & Dining Experiences
While Utopia of the Seas is part of the existing Oasis Class of ships, that doesn’t mean you’ve seen everything before. She’s closest in design to Wonder of the Seas – featuring the Vue Bar, the Playscape, and a single FlowRider – but she has some debuting features that will be very exciting.
This includes the brand-new Pesky Parrot Bar, which replaces the Bionic Bar. It’s Caribbean themed and serves a wide-ranging drinks menu based around fruity flavours, rums, tequilas and gins, with suspended sofas and a relaxed, neon-lit vibe.
There’s also a brand new dining venue, so far named the Immersive Train Dining Experience. Here you’ll actually feel like you’re on an old-fashioned train journey, eating in the dining car, in an experience that blends the food with fascinating visuals.
Izumi returns on the ship, but it has moved from its usual position and will now be situated in Central Park. This also means you’ll get to enjoy the takeout options of Izumi In The Park, a concept that debuted on Icon of the Seas a few months before Utopia launches.

And as part of the plans, Giovanni’s Wine Bar and Kitchen has been relocated to Deck 11 and 12 and has a new outside terrace where you can enjoy delicious Italian cuisine while overlooking the Boardwalk.
Many of the popular suite categories return for the ship too, including the Royal Loft Suite and Ultimate Family Suite. There’s also the brand-new Solarium Suites to replace the Ultimate Panoramic Suites found on some other Oasis-class ships.
Utopia of the Seas will launch in summer 2024, and close the chapter on the Oasis Class. But before then, we get the new Icon Class debuting, which will take over as the flagship for the cruise line, with Icon of the Seas.
Catch up with everything Icon of the Seas here.
Utopia of the Seas’ cruises go on sail on 23rd June 2023.
