Oceania Cruises has opened bookings for an extensive collection of more than 230 itineraries spanning the 2028 and 2029 cruise seasons.
The upscale cruise line’s programme features voyages ranging from seven-day getaways to epic 180-day world cruises, with sailings scheduled across six continents.
The new collection emphasises extended port stays, with more than 60 overnight calls included across the fleet’s global deployment.
Extended Port Stays Define New Collection
The 2028-2029 programme places significant emphasis on immersive destination experiences through overnight port stays.
Passengers will have the opportunity to spend extended time in major cities including Copenhagen, Lisbon, Bangkok, and Bali, allowing for deeper exploration beyond typical day-visit constraints.

The collection also features overnight calls in smaller, more intimate destinations such as Seville in Spain and Malé in the Maldives, providing guests with evening and late-night experiences rarely available on traditional cruise itineraries.
Record Mediterranean Deployment Planned
Oceania Cruises has scheduled more than 80 Mediterranean itineraries for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, representing the cruise line’s most extensive commitment to the region in its history.
The Mediterranean programme spans multiple countries and regions, from the historic ports of Italy and Greece to the coastal cities of Spain and Turkey.
Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, emphasised the cruise line’s focus on meaningful travel experiences, noting that the expanded programme reflects a commitment to allowing guests sufficient time to truly experience destinations rather than merely visiting them.
Alaska and Asia Itineraries for Riviera
The Oceania Riviera will return to Alaskan waters during the summer 2028 season before repositioning to Asia for an extended deployment.

The ship’s Asian itineraries will showcase an enhanced focus on Japanese ports, including several rarely visited destinations that offer passengers opportunities to explore beyond the country’s major tourist centres.
Calls are scheduled for Kagoshima on Kyushu island, Ishigaki in the Ryukyu archipelago, and Miyazaki on Kyushu’s eastern coast, providing access to regions of Japan that receive limited cruise ship traffic.
Winter Mediterranean Season for Allura
The Oceania Allura will return to the Mediterranean for her second consecutive winter season deployment during 2028 and 2029.
Operating from November through March, the ship will explore an extensive range of destinations across Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain during the traditionally quieter Mediterranean winter months.
This deployment strategy allows passengers to experience Mediterranean destinations with fewer crowds and more moderate temperatures than the busy summer season typically offers.
Inaugural World Voyages for Newly Renamed Aurelia
The 2028 and 2029 seasons will mark the debut of 180-day around-the-world voyages aboard the Oceania Aurelia, the newly renamed and refurbished vessel formerly known as Oceania Nautica.
The ship will undergo transformation under the OceaniaNEXT enhancement programme, debuting in her new configuration in late 2027.
The 2028 world voyage will depart from Miami, whilst the 2029 edition will embark from Los Angeles, with both voyages concluding in New York after circumnavigating the globe.
The Aurelia will also mark another milestone with her inaugural Baltic and Scandinavian sailings during these seasons.
European itineraries across the fleet will span from the sun-drenched Mediterranean to the dramatic landscapes of Northern Europe, encompassing Greek island-hopping adventures, explorations of Aegean coastlines, cruises through Norway’s majestic fjords, and visits to royal capitals including Stockholm and Copenhagen.
Amsterdam’s historic canal district will also feature prominently in Northern European programmes.
Caribbean and Americas Deployment Strategy
The Oceania Sonata and Oceania Vista will be based in Miami for Caribbean and Americas itineraries throughout the 2028-2029 seasons.
The ships will offer a diverse range of voyage lengths, from convenient seven-day island escapes perfect for shorter holidays to extended multi-week voyages exploring Central America and Mexico.
This Miami homeporting strategy provides convenient access for North American passengers whilst offering flexibility in itinerary length and destination focus.
Comprehensive Asia-Pacific Programme
The Oceania Marina and Oceania Riviera will operate extensive Asian seasons combining Japan’s intimate coastal communities with the region’s vibrant metropolitan centres.
The Asia deployment will feature overnight stays in both Bangkok and Singapore, allowing passengers extended time to experience these dynamic cities’ evening entertainment, dining, and cultural offerings.
Sailings will also venture through the Indonesian archipelago, with calls including Komodo Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons and spectacular natural landscapes.

The Oceania Marina will additionally focus on Australia and New Zealand exploration, with multiple 14-day voyages scheduled throughout the region.
These itineraries will include cruising through the dramatic fjords of Milford Sound, recognised as one of New Zealand’s most spectacular natural attractions.
Calls are planned for major Australian and New Zealand cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, and Auckland, alongside visits to smaller ports that showcase the region’s diverse landscapes and cultures.
Autumn Colours in Canada and New England
The 2028 and 2029 seasons will feature dedicated Canada and New England autumn foliage programmes designed to coincide with peak fall colour season.
The Oceania Vista will operate the 11-day Autumnal Allure & Maritimes voyage, calling at classic New England and Canadian ports including Portland, Saint John, Halifax, and Quebec City.
These itineraries are timed to showcase the spectacular autumn foliage that draws visitors to the region each September and October.
An alternative option within the Canada programme is the Maritimes Harvest Passage sailing, which includes a call at Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island.
This itinerary provides access to Canada’s smallest province, known for its agricultural heritage, red sand beaches, and connection to the Anne of Green Gables literary legacy.
The autumn timing coincides with harvest season throughout the Maritime provinces, offering passengers opportunities to experience local food festivals and agricultural traditions.
Strategic Repositioning Voyages
The 2028 and 2029 programme includes seven repositioning cruises that connect the fleet’s seasonal deployments whilst offering passengers unique itinerary opportunities.

One highlighted repositioning is the 15-day Canary Isles Autumn Passage aboard the Oceania Sonata, sailing from Lisbon to Miami as the ship transitions from European to Caribbean deployment.
This transatlantic voyage includes calls in Madeira, Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and San Juan in Puerto Rico, combining European, African, and Caribbean ports in a single journey.
Repositioning cruises typically offer exceptional value compared to standard itineraries whilst providing access to routes and port combinations unavailable during regular seasonal deployments.
These voyages appeal to passengers seeking longer journeys with more sea days and the opportunity to experience a ship’s transition between dramatically different climate zones and cruising regions.
The advance booking window allows passengers nearly four years to plan these extended voyages, facilitating coordination of extended time away and potentially more favourable pricing.
