Carnival Cruise Line has announced a small change to its perks for the VIFP loyalty programme, giving guests more flexibility on when they can enjoy a specific perk.

Guests in the Gold, Platinum and Diamond rankings are currently entitled to a free drink during their cruise, but only at limited times.
Gold members used to get their appreciation drink (on cruises of 5 days or more) on the last evening of the cruise after 5pm, while Platinum and Diamond guests would get a complimentary cocktail during the SeaDay brunch only.
As of 20th July, that’s changing, and guests will be able to enjoy their free drink at any time of the day, on any day of their cruise.
The same rules apply regarding a minimum of 5 days for the cruise – guests on shorter cruises won’t get the free drink.
But the change – announced by John Heald in a live stream on his Facebook page and later shared to his fans via the page itself – should be welcomed by Carnival guests who can now enjoy their free drink at a time that suits them.
Wider changes to the VIFP loyalty programme are still expected later this year.
