Disney Cruise Line has revealed some new details about Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, the upcoming private retreat exclusively for Disney cruise guests.

The resort, situated on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, will celebrate the classical magic of Disney alongside the rich Bahamian culture.
This includes the entry point of the destination, named Mabrika Cove – the word “Mabrika” means “welcome” in the indigenous Taino language of the islands. It also extends to the Goombay Cultural Center, where guests can enjoy celebrations of traditional singing, dancing and music along with various activities.
And then Triton’s Trumpet Stage – named for King Triton of the Little Mermaid movies and also for a common seashell in the Bahamas – will have live music and entertainment inspired by local traditions.
The theming of The Little Mermaid continues into the water play area, where young guests will be able to enjoy a selection of activities including two small slides, wave-making fountains and some cool water drums.
Adults can enjoy the 18+ Serenity Bay area, with its own peaceful beach. Open air cabanas will be available for hire here, with pricing TBC.
And there’s confirmation of some retail therapy, with the Treasures of Eleuthera store selling a range of artisan items and crafts made locally in the Bahamas. The money raised will partially benefit local residents and small businesses.
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is scheduled to open to guests in June 2024.
