Windstar Cruises has revealed plans for a major expansion of its South Pacific itineraries, the only region besides the Mediterranean where the cruise line operates year-round.

Starting in 2026, Windstar will introduce new sailings to Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, alongside its established routes in Tahiti and the Society Islands, the Tuamotus, and the Marquesas.
These additions include shorter options, such as a seven-night Tuamotus cruise and an 11-night voyage to the Marquesas, opening up these remote locations to a wider range of travellers.
Guests will also have the chance to extend their stay with new air and hotel packages, including overwater bungalows in Bora Bora.
Windstar’s long-standing presence in Tahiti, where it has operated for over 36 years, has positioned it as an expert in the region.
The company has fostered deep relationships with local partners, enabling access to secluded areas and providing guests with an immersive Polynesian experience.
The 312-passenger, all-suite Star Breeze will continue to sail in the South Pacific year-round, with an expanded range of itineraries and destinations thanks to the 2026 offerings.
In celebration of the announcement, Windstar is launching an early booking promotion. Travellers booking a 2026 South Pacific cruise will receive a complimentary All-Inclusive package, valued at £73 per person per day.
This includes WiFi, unlimited wine, beer, and cocktails, all gratuities, and a $100 onboard credit per stateroom.
“Tahiti is one of my favourite destinations on the planet, and I was thrilled to expand Windstar’s itineraries in the region to the remote Marquesas Islands this year.
“These new additions are a natural progression for us, as these faraway South Pacific islands exemplify the heart of Polynesian culture. But they are extremely difficult to access, especially if you’re piecing together your own trip.
“On Windstar, you’re able to sail there easily on an all-suite ship that has no more than 312 passengers. We can go to places like Tonga and Taveuni without overwhelming the destination from a tourism, ecological and cultural perspective, due to our small size and the great relationships we’ve built while sailing in the region over decades.”
Windstar President Christopher Prelog
In addition to the expanded itineraries, Windstar recently announced plans to grow its fleet.
Two new all-suite ships will join by 2027, enabling the beloved Wind Class ship, Wind Star, to return to Tahiti alongside Star Breeze, further increasing capacity to meet the growing demand for South Pacific cruises.
