Princess Cruises has announced that it will partner with renowned chef Dario Cecchini for a new restaurant onboard Sun Princess.
The venue will be called “The Butcher’s Block by Dario” and will bring Cecchini’s expertise of all things meat to the brand-new cruise ship.
The venue won’t be a traditional restaurant and instead will feature a single spacious communal table. Here, guests will enjoy various steaks and other beef cuts.
There will also be special dishes added to the Crown Grill menu for guests who want to enjoy his signature meals in a more traditional restaurant environment on the ship.
Princess is dedicated to creating the finest experiences for guests spanning all cultures, tastes and preferences.
John Padgett, Princess Cruises president
Cecchini runs a butcher shop and various dining venues in Panzano, Italy, and was made famous when he was featured on the Netflix show Chef’s Table. He uses family recipes from his grandmother in his cooking, leaning on almost 50 years of culinary experience.
The Butcher’s Block will be one of 29 dining and lounge options onboard Sun Princess, including some returning favourites and some brand-new experiences.
The ship will sail on her debut voyage from Barcelona on 8th February 2024, and will cruise around the Med for the summer season before offering Caribbean cruises in winter.
