Celebrity Reflection is set to gain 59 additional staterooms during a major refurbishment in early 2027, increasing the Solstice-class ship’s double-occupancy capacity to nearly 3,150 guests.

The new accommodation will be created by repurposing several existing public and recreational areas across the 126,000-tonne ship. The work forms part of Celebrity Cruises’ wider programme to update its Solstice-class fleet, with Celebrity Reflection also due to receive new dining, entertainment and outdoor spaces.

Built in 2012, Celebrity Reflection is the fifth and final ship in the Solstice class. Its forthcoming refurbishment was announced in July 2026 as part of a broader series of enhancements for the vessel.

Public Areas To Make Way For New Cabins

The largest concentration of additional accommodation is planned for Deck 15, where 26 staterooms are expected to replace areas currently used for youth facilities, a basketball court and a video game arcade.

Another 17 outside staterooms will be created around the Grand Foyer on Deck 5. The changes will involve removing the Passport Bar and relocating the ship’s guest relations desk elsewhere on the deck.

Decks 11 and 12 are expected to receive a further 16 staterooms. Space for these cabins will be created by reducing the footprint of Celebrity Reflection’s existing spa and fitness centre.

Together, the changes are expected to add 59 cabins to the ship, taking its capacity at double occupancy to almost 3,150 passengers.

The project continues Celebrity Cruises’ recent practice of adding accommodation to existing Solstice-class vessels during scheduled drydock periods.

Celebrity Eclipse received 10 additional staterooms during a routine drydock in early 2025. Celebrity Solstice subsequently underwent a more extensive modernisation in 2026 that included the addition of 54 staterooms.

New Venues And Expanded Retreat Facilities

The increase in accommodation will be accompanied by a wider overhaul of Celebrity Reflection’s passenger facilities, including 13 new venues as well as refreshed dining and entertainment areas.

Among the additions will be the Celebrity Pool Club, featuring two dedicated bars and new poolside dining options.

Four new entertainment spaces are also planned. These include the 125-seat Boulevard Lounge, which is designed to host activities including games, karaoke and live performances.

The Retreat, Celebrity Cruises’ suite-class offering, will also be upgraded. Plans include an enhanced sun deck with a large hot tub and a redesigned lounge for suite guests.

Elsewhere on the ship, the casino is due to be expanded into space currently occupied by part of a shopping gallery.

The 2027 refurbishment will continue the modernisation of Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice-class fleet while also representing a considerably larger capacity increase for Celebrity Reflection than the additional accommodation installed aboard Celebrity Eclipse in 2025.

Celebrity Reflection is expected to gain 59 new staterooms during a major refurbishment in early 2027, alongside 13 new venues and upgraded guest facilities.
