As Carnival Jubilee arrives in her home port of Galveston, Texas, the cruise line has announced new family experiences onboard the ship, some of which will be rolled out fleetwide.
The cruise line has partnered with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to expand the Space Cruisers program, with NASA space imagery used to make it more immersive. Guests will be able to climb the Space Wall in the Camp Ocean kids’ club to feel like they’re really inside a space capsule.
The Currents zone is a virtual aquarium experience, and young guests will be able to design their own sea creature and then watch it come to live all around them on the digital walls and ceiling.
The cruise line is also expanding its See The World program, introducing elements of the Panagbenga Festival, such as a flower parade and jewellery-making classes.
Young kids can also enjoy the new Night Owls Camp Out which will include classic American-style camp activities such as cornhole, fort building, and singing songs around a ‘campfire’, though don’t expect a real fire to be used.
The Seuss experiences are also expanding. The new take on the Dr Seuess Breakfast offers new food, music and activities, and once it has launched on Carnival Jubilee it will be expanded to other ships in the fleet.
And the existing Seuss-a-palooza parade will welcome a new character for Carnival Jubilee, as Fox in Socks will debut. Whether Slow Joe Crow will be sewing Sue’s clothes or if Knox will be in a box is yet to be seen.
