Norwegian Cruise Line has lifted the curtain on its Winter 2027/2028 season, offering cruisers an expansive line-up of itineraries designed to swap cold weather for sunshine, beaches and warm seas.

Covering sailings from September 2027 through to April 2028, the new deployment spans 144 destinations across 47 countries, with cruises ranging from short two-night getaways to epic voyages lasting up to 22 days.
The cruise line will operate from 15 homeports during the season, including major embarkation points in North America, Asia-Pacific and Australasia. These include Miami, Port Canaveral, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Galveston, New Orleans and Los Angeles, alongside international homeports such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Auckland.
For the first time, Norwegian Cruise Line will also homeport two of its newest ships from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Both Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will operate Caribbean itineraries from the island, expanding options for Southern Caribbean sailings.
Strong Focus on Caribbean, Bahamas and Private Islands
The winter programme places particular emphasis on the Bahamas and Caribbean, with a wide range of itineraries calling at popular ports including Nassau, Freeport, Philipsburg in St Maarten and Antigua.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s private destinations will also feature prominently. Both Harvest Caye in Belize and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas are included across multiple itineraries.
By the 2027/2028 season, Great Stirrup Cay is expected to have completed major upgrades, including the addition of a new pier and a large-scale waterpark.
Guests sailing from Los Angeles, Galveston and New Orleans will find a variety of Mexican Riviera and Western Caribbean options. These itineraries include calls at Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, with ships such as Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Getaway deployed on these routes.
Asia-Pacific Sailings Offer Longer Port Stays
Beyond the Americas, Norwegian Cruise Line is also expanding its winter presence in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Voyages around Australia and New Zealand will be operated by Norwegian Spirit, while Norwegian Jade will offer sailings from Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Destinations include Fremantle, Adelaide, Okinawa, Kobe, Ko Samui and Coron.
To allow guests more time ashore, the cruise line says the average port stay across the season will be 9.5 hours. The deployment also includes 71 late departures across 31 ports and 70 overnight stays, giving travellers greater flexibility to explore destinations after dark.
Free at Sea Plus Expands Onboard Flexibility
Alongside the deployment announcement, Norwegian Cruise Line has confirmed enhancements to its onboard offerings with the introduction of Free at Sea Plus, an upgraded version of its popular Free at Sea programme.
The new option is aimed at guests who prefer to customise their cruise experience rather than opt for a rigid all-inclusive structure.

“We’re thrilled to unveil our new immersive winter season, giving travellers the ultimate freedom to create their own adventure,” said Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
“Whether it’s an exotic Asia voyage, a quick Bahamas escape or a sun-soaked Caribbean getaway, our itineraries are designed for flexibility and choice.”
Free at Sea Plus adds Unlimited streaming WiFi, bottled water, wine and unlimited Starbucks drinks. It also includes a 50% discount on additional speciality dining cover charges and an unlimited open bar at Great Stirrup Cay – something that guests are disappointed to have lost from the standard Free at Sea package.
The upgrade is priced at $49.99 per person, per day, and is designed for guests who plan to take full advantage of onboard dining, drinks and connectivity.
With its wide-ranging winter deployments and expanded onboard options, Norwegian Cruise Line is positioning its 2027/2028 season as a compelling choice for travellers looking to escape winter and build a cruise holiday tailored to their own pace and preferences.
