Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed the third ship in the Prima Class, the Norwegian Aqua.

The ship will actually be part of a sub-class named Prima Plus, meaning she’ll be a little bigger than the existing Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva and will offer some unique features.
Norwegian Aqua will be 1,056 feet long and have 156,300 gross tons of internal volume – around 9% bigger than the earlier Prima-class ships.
The cruise line claims that she will have more outdoor space than her sister ships and have the highest staffing levels of “any new cruise ship”.
Norwegian Aqua is a true testament of fusing together what represents the future of our Brand as the first ship in the Prima Plus Class, and our commitment to pushing the boundaries in guest-first experiences that will make new waves at sea.
Named for both the beautiful shades of blue from the ocean and our connection to the sea, Norwegian Aqua will feature new, elevated and exhilarating offerings that once again showcase NCL as the innovator in the industry and as a key contributor to a new era of cruising.
David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line
While the specifics of the ship’s features haven’t yet been revealed, it has been announced that the livery has been designed by world-renowned street artist Allison Hueman, the first major female hull artist for the cruise line.
Norwegian Aqua is scheduled to debut in April 2025, offering Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral in Florida. Her first sailings are already on sale.
