In the latest of the Making an Icon video series, Royal Caribbean has unveiled a lot of new details about the dining and bar venues onboard Icon of the Seas, ahead of her launch next year.

In total, there will be 20 new places to eat on board – many cruise ships don’t even have 20 restaurants at all! But Icon of the Seas will also feature a number of returning favourites alongside the new venues.
In total, there will be over 40 food and beverage venues on the ship.
Empire Supper Club is one of the newly announced destinations. Described as a “super premium dining experience”, here guests will be able to enjoy fantastic 8-course dining menus paired with carefully curated cocktails, while the venue has a 1920s New York design.
At the complete other end of the scale is the AquaDome Market, a casual food hall with a number of new options.
These include Creme de la Crepe – a crepe outlet with a variety of sweet and savoury options – as well as GNGR, offering Asian-inspired dishes.
One of the highlights for kids and big kids alike will be Mac’s, serving a selection of macaroni and cheese dishes.
In the Surfside neighborhood, there’s the Surfside Eatery, which is a buffet aimed more at family options. Pier 7 is a speciality restaurant aimed at kids, and will have a “Kids Eat Free” range including chicken tenders, burgers, grilled cheese and more.
Meanwhile, Thrill Island hosts Base Camp, a fast-casual venue ideal for guests enjoying the various sporty activities. Smash burgers, waffle chicken nuggets and more will be available.
Popular venues like Sorrento’s, Giovanni’s, the Playmakers Sports Bar and more will be returning.
