Building Liberty of the Seas
Liberty of the Seas was built in 2007 in Turku, Finland by the shipbuilder STX Finland. Like many Royal Caribbean ships, she was registered in Bahamas.
The ship cost $800,000,000 to build. She was Christened by Donnalea Madeley and made her maiden voyage on May 19, 2007.

Tidal Wave is the first boomerang-style waterslide at sea, and it is fantastic fun. Guests will plummet down the slide on a raft before experiencing a weightless thrill on the rebound, before falling backwards in a riveting ride.
