Zangief from Wreck-It Ralph / Ralph Breaks the Internet

Zangief is a strong but slow character from the Street Fighter games who appears in the Disney movie Wreck-It Ralph. Zangief has an existential crisis over his role as the bad guy. Eventually, he concludes that someone is needed to fulfill the role and tells himself “Zangief, you are Bad Guy, but this does not mean you are bad guy”.

Zarina from The Pirate Fairy

Zarina (also known as The Pirate Fairy) is the main character in the Disney Fairies film The Pirate Fairy. Zarina is a curious dust-keeper fairy who mixes fairy dust even though it is forbidden. She is banished for this act but steals the blue fairy dust and joins forces with the pirates of Skull Rock, becoming their captain.

Zazu from The Lion King / The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride / The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata / The Lion King (2019)

Zazu is an uptight, red-billed hornbill that served as majordomo and royal advisor to the king of the Pride Lands in the animated movie The Lion King (and its sequels/remake). Zed is a bombastic racer in Team Ripslinger. Along with his friend Ned the team specialize in sabotage and are the secondary antagonists in the 2013 Disney film Planes. Zed is white with green wings and despite lacking speed, their crafty, cheating tactics are enough to propel Team Ripslinger to victory.

Zelda from The Fox and the Hound 2

Zelda is a minor Disney character that starts with Z in the 2006 animated movie The Fox and the Hound 2. Zelda is Dixie’s cat assistant and friend. Zelda sympathizes with Dixie’s pain after being fired by Cash, so she decides to help her regain her place with The Singin’ Strays by tricking Copper into eating peanut butter.

Zephyr from The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2

Zephyr is a Disney character beginning with Z who appears in the sequel to The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He is a young boy who enjoys fun things like the circus and has a strong friendship with Quasimodo. Ziggy is a minor Disney character that starts with the letter Z in the 1967 Disney animated movie The Jungle Book. He is one of four vultures (along with Buzzie, Flaps, and Dizzy) who appear to be a parody of The Beatles, they sing and make jokes throughout the film.

Zini is a lemur who appears as a minor Disney character starting with Z in Disney’s 2000 CGI film Dinosaur. Zini is a wisecracking lemur who approaches a dinosaur egg when it first falls onto Lemur Island. His father tells him the egg is dangerous and to stay back from it. Zini’s sister ends up raising the baby Iguanodon.

Zira is the main antagonist in the 1998 Disney direct-to-video film, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride. Zira is the mother of Kovu, Nuka, and Vitani and plots for Kovu to claim rule over the Pride Lands. Despite this, she shows little love towards her family and her vindictiveness and hatred towards Simba eventually prove to be her downfall.

Zombie is a character from the 2012 animated movie Wreck-It Ralph. He appears in the film as a part of the Bad-Anon villains support group. As a member of the undead, he is not very bright and his speech is slurred, but he is able to translate Zangief’s words for Ralph to understand.

Zugor from Tarzan 2: The Legend Begins

Zugor is an old hermit ape living in a hollow tree on Dark Mountain in Disney’s 2005 animated film, Tarzan II. This Disney character beginning with Z is the ‘monster’ feared by young Tarzan and all the other animals in the forest but he ends up becoming friends with Tarzan and comes to the rescue of the titular character.
